Young Carers
We are here to ensure the needs of all children are being met and recognising what those needs are. Sometimes it could be that we feel a child might be a 'Young Carer.' There is a local service that we signpost families to if we feel they would benefit from their support: Surrey Young Carers which can be found here. They do so many great things for children, providing support and opportunities for children/young people to have some fun and to meet others in similar situations. A Young Carer doesn't have to be actually doing things such as cleaning, meal prepping or chores, it can be how their circumstances are affecting their emotional, physical or social well-being that would benefit from being supported by Young Carers. The person the Young Carers 'cares' for doesn't even need to live in the family home, it could be a close relative that they frequently see.
